Studies on the Diffusion of Plasma Albumin into the Tissues in Histamin Shock induced Rabbits.

Abstract
The study is intended to evaluate the diffusion of plasma albumin into the tissues on the Histamin shock. In the experiment, Evans blue was used in order to identify the plasma albumin in the tissues.
Five rabbits were divided as control group(2) ; and shock group(3). Each rabbit was given 3 ml. of 0.2 o Evans blue solution per kg. of body weight by means of intravenous injection. Ten minutes afterward, each rabbit in shack group was given 6mg. of Histamin phosphate per hg. of body weight by the intramuscular injection to induce shocks to the rabbits.
One hour after of the shock, the rabbits were killed by means of essanguination. Stomach, liver, kidney, adrenals and brain of the rabbits were removed upon their death, in an attempt to measure the quantity of plasma albumin thatescaped. into the tissues.
During the whole process, blood sample was taken three times before and after the shock, (1)Imm.ediately before; (2)Thirty minutes after-wards; (3)One hour afterwards. A quantity of total protein and albumin in the plasma of the said sample was then measured.
The final calculation of the amount of plasma albumin in the tissues that came from circulating blood n-as made based on the amount of Evans blue combined with the plasma albumin.
The methods of Iaxwell and Young were applied in measuring Evans blue in the tissues, and the analysis of plasma protein was based on the Kin;sley¢¥s Biuret method.
The results are shown as follows
1. When on Histamin shxk, the amount of plasma albumin that had gone into the tissues of stomach, liver, and kidney was found with a slight increase, but a great increase in amount was found in adrenals.
2. The fact that na Evans blue, that had gone into the tissue, was found in the brain in both Control and Histamin shock groups leads to a logical conclusion that plasma albumin did ~zot come into the brain tissue.
3. In Histamin shock group, it was found that as tame passes by following the shock the amount of plasma total protein and albumin gradually decreases; more sharply in albumin.
